Hotspot Review: Bear Rock Café
The Bear Rock Café, located in University Mall was one of the first locations in Chapel Hill to offer free wifi to customers. The restaurant, which has the warm appearance of rustic ski lodge inside, complete with fireplace, offers a wide selection of fresh soups, sandwiches, salads, and a variety of baked goods.
Seating is plentiful and confortable, but power sources are limited. The wireless signal is strong and I have experienced very few problems. Originally the SSID was wiresnap, and required a free signup to use, but as I right this today another access point not requiring credentials appears to be acting in its place.
